Americans more likely to not get Health insurance

According to a survey done by The Commonwealth Fund, Americans are likely to go without health insurance because of the cost than 10 other nations.

Americans are more likely to encounter problems with paying for medical bills, encounter high medical bills even if they’re insured, or have disputes with insurers once they find out that their insurance doesn’t cover what they expected.

Congress Doesn’t Have To Wait As Long As Most Workers for Health Insurance

Did you know that average waiting period for coverage on health insurance is 2.2 months? And 33%  of covered workers face a waiting period of at least 3 months? About 74% of covered workers have to ride through a waiting period before coverage is available!

Republican elected Andy Harris of Maryland, politician and physician, was shocked when he found out he had to wait a month for his government-provided private health insurance to kick in.

“This is the only employer I’ve ever worked for where you don’t get coverage the first day you are employed”
