Making Insurance

January 26 2011

Bonjour! Hola! Konnichiwa! Gutan Tag! Hello! There are so many ways to say hello but only a few ways to say hump day. Wait, what? Hump day is what some call Wednesday in America which means it’s the middle of the week since it’s the top of metaphoric ‘hill’ in the middle of the week. Ahhh, if only it meant something else – something like what Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton might have strong feelings about. Anyway, let’s take a look at what else happened in the past on January 26th!

1837 – Michigan is admitted as the 26th U.S. state.
1920 – Former Ford Motor Company executive Henry Leland launches the Lincoln Motor Company which he later sold to his former employer.
1961 – John F. Kennedy appoints Janet G. Travell to be his physician. This is the first time a woman holds this appointment.
1998 – Lewinsky scandal: On American television, U.S. President Bill Clinton denies having had “sexual relations” with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
