Making Insurance

February 14 2011

Ahh, Single’s Awareness Day! Or some of you more fortunate folks might be calling it ‘Valentine’s Day’. Pfft. Whatever you may call it today – you can’t escape the love that fills the air. Maybe that’s what the smog in LA contains?

Couples(or more if you’re into that type of thing) crowding up restaurants, buying more roses, or simply just stealing from the rose bushes in my backyard. HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK THERE?

Did you know that on any given day, about 400 million people across the globe will have sexual intercourse. Which means that about 4,000 people are probably having sex right now. Do you think the number doubles or triples on this day?

Anyway, let’s see what else happened on this day :

1859 – Oregon is admitted as the 33rd U.S. state.
1899 – Voting machines are approved by the U.S. Congress for use in federal elections.
1912 – Arizona is admitted as the 48th U.S. state.
1989 – The first of 24 satellites of the Global Positioning System are placed into orbit.
