Insurance Agent Charged With Felony Sexual Battery

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – Police said an independent insurance agent who has visited homes across Middle Tennessee has been charged with sexual battery. Now police are looking for any other victims who may not have come forward.

69-year-old Winston Dale Williams, of Smyrna, faces felony charges of sexual battery. Police said Williams, who also goes by the nickname “Dub” went to a large number of homes selling various policies for numerous insurance agencies throughout the U.S.

Police have confirmed at least two complaints.

Police in Smyrna and La Vergne believe there may be other victims, who may live alone, who did not report the incidents. They are urging anyone who has had Williams in their home, and if he allegedly made any unwanted sexual advances, to come forward.

Police in Smyrna will also be issuing another arrest warrant for felony sexual battery for a victim there.

His arrest follows a three-week investigation by detectives in Smyrna and La Vergne.
